Cold Feet

S06E02 Episode 2

As Pete (John Thomson) chauffeurs the ‘happy' couple away from the wedding venue Adam (James Nesbitt) reveals that he's changed his mind about starting a future together in Singapore. His son Matthew (Cel Spellman) needs him in Manchester.

The Giffords money worries have taken a toll on their marriage and in particular, their sex life. In an attempt to lift Pete's (John Thomson) spirits, Jen (Fay Ripley) reminds him of the bedroom fantasies they used to act out when they were younger, but it's going to take more than a French maid's costume to snap Pete out of this one. Jenny knows that she's turned the head of a client at work and can't fail to be flattered. Trevor (Nicholas Gleaves) is persistent but Jenny would never cheat on her beloved Pete, would she?

Under pressure from his boss, David (Robert Bathurst) continues to try and impress Adam's father-in-law, millionaire businessman, Eddie Zubayr (Art Malik), even enlisting the help of ex-wife Karen (Hermione Norris), whom Eddie clearly has designs on.

When David invites Eddie along to the corporate box at Old Trafford his CEO gets wind of the fact and invites himself along forcing David to let his old friends down. As the dads and lads watch on the match on the pub's big screen, Adam notices that even the win isn't putting a smile on Pete's face. Could there be more to his mood than simply being miserable and middle-aged?
