Following the escape of a dangerous felon near Mayberry, the State police arrive in town and announce they'll be basing their manhunt out of the courthouse. After being shut out of helping out, Andy and Barney take it upon themselves to try and collar the felon themselves – much to the dismay of the State police captain.
