S02E05 Barney on the Rebound

After Barney and Thelma Lou break up over how friendly he was to a new, pretty resident in town, Barney finds himself in the middle a scheme set by the woman and her father to get married. When Barney refuses to follow through with marriage, the pair are quick to sue for breach of contract. Suspecting that something is odd with the woman and her father, Andy promptly has an easy way to settle things: Barney and the woman will get married that day – only the woman and her "father" come clean about their scheme: the pair are already married and were only trying to con Barney.
