They face the difficult task of marrying up their 400-year-old thatched cottage with a stunning, contemporary, three-arched extension and agreeing on differences of opinion about how the rooms are used and key finishing touches. In Hertfordshire, Sophie has to help first-time renovators Hazel and Lawrence find compromises between their two very different style visions as they transform their three-bed semi into a luxurious family home.
