The police chase Shannon when they find his photo in the cold grasp of a murdered widow. Working fast to prove his innocence, Shannon uncovers a grim plot. The widow's husband is actually still alive and in a conspiracy with the head of the lonely hearts club lo live off the murdered widow's estate.
