Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer

Today on Earth Odyssey, we head to Southeast Asia where lies the island chain of the Philippines. We start on Palawan Island where there is an array of interesting creatures. We meet a giant pitcher plant that gets its name from its large and oval-shaped "mouth." These plants are not alone on the floor, as scorpions and giant centipedes crawl around the forest floor. We then run into a binturong, or commonly known as a bearcat. Despite its nickname, binturongs are not related to either cats or bears. After the forest floor, we go to the cold, damp caves that make up much of the Philippine landscape. In the caves, we'll find some creepy crawlers like tarantulas and more scorpions. After the caves, we make our way down to the rivers where monitor lizards call home.
