В ФЭС приходит бандероль. Внутри – сигаретная пачка с отрезанным пальцем. 8 лет назад Круглов расследовал дело о похищении. Похититель посылал родителям детей отрезанные пальцы. Теперь он мстит тому, кто его посадил: пропала дочь напарника Круглова, но ни звонков, ни требований от похитителя нет, только посылка с ещё одним пальцем.
