Бывший спортсмен Станислав Ивантеев уже полтора года прикован к инвалидному креслу. Из-за собственной беспомощности и жестокости своих близких он находится в отчаянии. Однажды соседка по подъезду видит, как Стас выпрыгивает из окна. Вскоре выясняется, что в квартире от газа задохнулась его мать, а жена умерла от яда в квартире любовника. К расследованию приступают сотрудники ФЭС…
