The Bidding Room

S01E04 Episode 4

First up today is Penny, with a cake stand that she's selling in order to downsize with her husband. Nigel is so determined to help her sell that he delivers the stand, complete with cupcakes. But will the sugary temptations persuade the dealers to part with their cash?

Next is Dawn, with a Second World War British field telephone. She tugs on the dealers' heartstrings as she's selling the phone on behalf of a charity she works for. With all the working parts in place, will she ring up the sale she's after?

Third to enter the bidding room is David, who loves scouring vintage shops for a bargain. He brings in an accordion and Nigel provides a musical interlude by enlisting musician Anita to play a tune to the dealers. So will the instrument hit the right note?

Last up is Julie from Oxfordshire, with a set of engraved cups that Simon thinks are Russian vodka cups. But Julie only has five - will that put off the dealers, given that they usually come in sets of six?

The dealers in today are Adi, Ian, James, Jane and Tash. So will any of them spend? And if they do, will any of them match - or even top - the valuation placed on each of the items?
