Essex-based photographer Chris, haulage guy Lou, shopping centre manager Adam, health worker Kris and oven cleaning technician Michael move in with Tara, a 32-year-old business consultant from Halifax in West Yorkshire, each hoping to win her affections. Nearly all of Tara's friends are married, and just about the most serious relationship she had to date has been with Kaiser - her beloved German shepherd. Top of Tara's list of requirements is a man who can make her laugh. Eventually, five become one - will Tara make the right choice?
