Lieven Koninckx, de voorzitter van de districtsraad van Borgerhout, houdt een persconferentie waarop hij stelt dat het ongeluk in basisschool De Vlieger voorkomen had kunnen worden als het stadsbestuur naar hen geluisterd had. Burgemeester Coenen schuift de verantwoordelijkheid door naar minister-president Vermaelen. Marianne en Ben verwijten Wim Denuwelare, het afdelingshoofd intensieve zorgen in het ziekenhuis waar Seppe en Sandra gemonitord worden, dat hij hen te laat vervoerd heeft.
