A retired judge is shot dead with his own gun in his home during a burglary. A deadly robbery accident or a cold-blooded act of revenge? "Frau Commissario" Sonja Schwarz (Chiara Schoras) and "Capo" Matteo Zanchetti (Tobias Oertel) think both are possible, because the victim, decried as "Judge Eisenhart", had many enemies. The case also fits seamlessly into a series of burglaries in which the alarm systems mysteriously failed. Manuel Steinbrenner (Emanuel Fellmer), an employee of a security company who runs a dilapidated hotel together with his sister Petra (Daniela Schulz), is targeted. therethree criminals have settled in on their foray: Petra's "ex" Stefan (Frederic Linkemann) with his accomplices Daniele (Johannes Zeiler) and Francesca (Juliane Fischer).
Despite the police investigation, leader Daniele wants to do the last big thing as planned. However, the fact that one of them went into the judge's office on his own caused mutual distrust in the gangster trio. Keeping a cool head is also difficult for Sonja: stepdaughter Laura (Charleen Deetz) has fallen in love with a young man (François Goeske) of all people, whose family is close to the mafia governor in Bolzano, Rossi (Thomas Sarbacher).
