Das zweite Kreuz an der Merles Gedenkstätte am Fluss entpuppt sich als weiterer Köder, den Dennis für seine finale Konfrontation mit Luise ausgelegt hat. Er verschanzt sich in einer abgelegenen Hütte im belgischen Hohen Venn und hält Josi nach einem missglückten Fluchtversuch ihrerseits nun als Geisel. Luise heftet sich an die Fersen der Beiden und erreicht die Hütte, wird aber von Dennis überwältigt. Da erscheint Nadisa auf der Bildfläche, die ihrer Kollegin Luise heimlich gefolgt ist…
