Mark Wright, his brother Josh and their dad Big Mark explore the best of Britain on the road trip of a lifetime. Along the way, there are breathtaking destinations, white-knuckle activities, and laugh-out-loud family banter.
But this is more than just a holiday. They all have their own personal motivations, and each of them reveals why this trip is so important, as the trio open up about things that they've never spoken about before.
For Mark, it's a chance to reconnect with his two best mates and focus on the things in life that really matter. Big Mark wants to regain his confidence after almost losing his life to Covid. And for Josh, a footballer on the brink of retirement, it's an opportunity to experience things he was never able to do as a professional athlete.
In the first episode, the Wright men enjoy a farewell breakfast with mum Carol and sister Jess, before saying goodbye to Essex as they drive to their first destination, Eryri, also known as Snowdonia, in north Wales.
After taking in the epic scenery, Mark takes the trio mountain-biking. The brothers set their pulses racing as they hurtle down a steep valley. Their dad's descent is more sedate.
The Wrights' next stop is an abandoned slate mine turned assault course, where they plan to spend the night 400 metres underground. It's Mark Senior's worst nightmare, and he's adamant he's not going down there, but his sons are eager to push him out of his comfort zone. Mark Junior and Josh want to boost their father's self-confidence, which has been shaken by a tough couple of years. As they spend a night in the bottom of the mine, Big Mark opens up about the loss of his brother and his own battle with Covid.
Later, the Wrights enjoy one of Britain's most beautiful views as they take a steam train to the top of Yr Wyddfa, also known as Snowdon. At the summit, Mark has something he wants to get off his chest to his dad and brother, and makes a tearful revelation.
