In this new series, BBC Wales presenter Wynne Evans delves into the BBC Wales archives of the 1970s with his dog Ginny. Beginning with 1970 itself, highlights include Mary Hopkin at the Eurovision Song Contest, a novelist who shares her home with farm animals and some surprisingly familiar tales of strikes, petrol price rises and power cuts.
On the sporting field we see Tony Cordle hit the winning runs for Glamorgan at St Helens in Swansea. There's shocking footage of the fire on the historic Britannia Bridge over the Menai Straits. And the end of an era for Cardiff's trolley buses. Remember them?
