Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer scour the Sussex coast for two sets of house-hunters at opposite ends of their property journey. Kirstie's with retired painters and decorators Amanda and Annette, who want a spacious bungalow in a serene setting to suit their futureproofing needs. Eighteen months ago, Amanda was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, making both of them realise that they wanted to seize life and move to their dream forever home. Kirstie shows them different options but by the end there's a clear winner. But can Kirstie secure it for them when it's 'offers over' their maximum budget... Meanwhile, Phil helps first-time buyers Danit and Rafi, who are after a one-bed flat close to the buzz of Brighton and Hove. Although they both agree that being close to the area's vibrant queer and Jewish communities is a top priority, Rafi wants Brighton and Danit prefers Hove. All the flats Phil offers up are in contention and it soon becomes clear that their biggest challenge is agreeing on their preferred property.
