One of the supermarket shoppers, a young mother, has her daughter kidnapped. The investigation leads the detectives to a drug addict who has already sold the girl into other hands. The buyer turned out to be Vladimir Markov, who sells children to childless families. Detectives are faced with the impossibility of proving Markov's guilt, but an old unsolved case that has tormented Sedykhs for many years comes to the surface. The investigation is gaining momentum - detectives face a choice - which is more important the triumph of the Law or the happiness of children and parents.
