The bodies of a man and a young girl Tanya Antonova were found in the forest. Suspicion first falls on her boyfriend, but he has a solid alibi. The way the murder was arranged is reminiscent of the Sedykh handwriting of the famous maniac named Forester, whose crimes were investigated many years ago by the investigator Semchuk unsuccessfully. Then, not experiencing failure, Semchuk committed suicide. Semchuk's assistant, investigator Vetrova, is involved in the investigation of new episodes.
