This weekly weather forum allows experts in meteorology and related fields to discuss issues that are of interest to the meteorological community but often ignored by the mainstream media. Hosted by J. Marshall Shepherd, a professor and former president of the American Meteorological Society, Weather Geeks also known as "WX Geeks" tackles issues ranging from the pros and cons of storm chasing to technology that allows man to control the weather and the debate of machines vs. humans in weather forecasting. Each week, Shepherd welcomes guests from various parts of the industry -- including the National Weather Service, academia, the media and the private sector -- to provide their views of the featured topics.
