Description

Four families, with dreams of escaping the demands of the modern world, will face the challenge of their lives as they head back more than 100 years to try to make a living in a fishing community at the start of the 20th Century.

For four weeks, the families will be exposed to the extremities of the wild waters and unpredictable weather on Llanddwyn, a beautiful, uninhabited tidal island, off the coast of Anglesey. The 1900 Island is the story of everyday survival, struggle, family conflict and a community coming together.
