Koenji Tatsuya is a veterinarian at the Hilltop Animal Clinic in Kagurazaka, Tokyo. Just when he had quit the animal clinic where he previously worked to go back home and work at a local animal clinic, the director of the local animal clinic suddenly disappears, entrusting the clinic to Tatsuya.
