When employees of the Investigative Committee at the District Prosecutor's Office reach a dead end, they are forced to turn for help to Khmurov, the former head of the general criminal department of the Investigative Committee, "exiled" to the archives to sort out papers. The current leadership of the department really doesn't want to bow to Khmurov, but there is nowhere to go: Khmurov is an investigator from God.
