An unknown narrator stumbled upon a voice recorder and audio tapes in a bunker. Apparently, they were made a year and a half after the epidemic began. The virus affected the part of the brain responsible for sleep in the survivors. People lost the ability to wake up on their own. Those who slept for more than three hours did not wake up. The recordings were made over the course of a week by a man named Zhenya. The narrator believes that listening to these tapes may be useful to someone. In the recordings, Zhenya records his daily state. He communicates with the outside world using a radio station. Zhenya settled in the bunker of the bandits he killed. He is wounded and doubts that he will last long.
