Twelve-year-old Shay, an outcast in his family and at school, discovers his father Yaki's secret affair and begins blackmailing him, turning the family dynamics upside down. Yaki, a self-absorbed aspiring author, scrambles to protect his secret while Shay revels in his newfound power. Their escalating feud takes a dark turn when Shay enlists the help of a sinister neighbor who happens to also be the local pedophile, and Yaki involves an ex-detective to unmask the blackmailer.
